People talking about how strong Grindelwald is, but let’s talk about how strong Graves is. Everything he does before now is what he’s actually capable of, not Grindelwald. The “oh shit” look on the President’s face was the realization. Graves was capable of everything Grindelwald did in his body up to now, meaning he was a top rate wizard who Grindelwald subdued and used as a disguise.

This to me was so epic bc Voldemort ran away from the aurors, but here Grindelwald takes on as many of them as he can and seems to have an upper hand until Newt caught him from behind. Plus he wasn’t using his own Wand, nor the Elder Wand, so even a casual movie goer would go “WOW, this guy is powerful and Albus Dumbledore beat him when he possessed the Elder Wand?”

Holy, this guy's skill is unbelievable. He parried all of their attacks in rapid fire! The sheer reflex and skill that he has...it boggles the mind

Let's face it: Newt is basically a Pokémon Trainer 0:56 when he releases his creature, it looks like a trainer sending their Pokémon out! The magical creature even makes a noise not unlike a Pokémon cry. Then it flies around to distract Grindelwald before Newt uses Power Whip/String Shot/Vine Whip (take your pick). When Newt calls it back, it seems to shrink and return to him, similar to a Pokémon! As someone who has been a Pokémon and Harry Potter fangirl since i was a kid, i love this movie! I wish they hadn't cancelled the series.

He's soo much more powerful than Voldemort....He knew about LOVE ...the most powerful magic....Almost took over the world...Voldemort couldn't even conquer Great Britain and couldn't even win a battle at Hogwarts with an overwhelming army....plus....Gellert was a Seer and knew almost as much as Dumbledore (Most powerful wizard of all-time)....Voldemort was a joke in comparison to Grindelwald!

If you read the Elder Wand Wikia, it was passed from Grindelwald to Dumbledore to Draco Malfoy to Voldemort,then to Harry Potter. It was never owned by Tina or Newt (as some said Newt disarmed Grindelwald and Tina Accio the wand), it confirms that was not the elder wand
